What's the math in this game?
This game helps children practice recognizing and naming shapes. Be sure to name the shapes on the cards that you choose. For example, "I'm going to choose the rectangle. And here is another rectangle. That's a match! "Ask children how they know two cards are a match, and help them use shape attribute words to explain their thinking. For example, "I know these are both triangle cards because both shapes have three straight sides."

There are 60 cards in the shape card deck. The cards have the numerals 1-10 on them along with one of six shapes: circle, triangle, square, rhombus, rectangle, or hexagon. There are also four Wild Shapes cards in the deck — these cards have all six shapes printed on them.
