The goal of this game is to match pattern block shapes to a design template with 1:1 correspondence.
What's the math in this game?
With lots of patterning practice, children learn that a pattern follows a rule: something must repeat in a regular way. A pattern's repeating unit can be described in different ways. In a hexagon, square, hexagon, square pattern, we can say that the repeating unit is "hexagon, square." We can also call this an AB pattern.
