What's the math in this game?

This game helps children match shapes to their shape names. When asked, "Do you have any triangles?," children hear the shape name "triangle" and scan their cards for a shape with three straight sides. Ask children how they knew that they did or didn't have a matching card. Encourage them to use attribute words in their explanations. For example, "I knew this was a match because both cards have triangles. The triangles have three sides and the sides are straight."
