What's the math in this game?

This game can help you figure out each child’s “just right” level of challenge for future Roll games. If a child is not yet ready to put cards 1-6 in order, try cards 1-3. If a child easily orders the 1-6 cards, add the 7-10 cards or move on to the Roll One game.Ask children about their ordering strategy: how do they know which card comes next? Some children might order the cards based on their numerals, while others might order them according to their dot quantities (from least dots to most dots).
